LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Clinton did not set up an official State Department government email address at any point during her four year term as the United State's head diplomat, instead relying on a personal account that did not automatically archive her messages.

This Lent season "Do Good!"

Under federal law, all senior officials must have their email correspondence saved, and top Republicans in Congress believe that this issue "raises serious questions" about whether or not Clinton was attempting to communicate secretly.

Aids to Clinton did begin to dig through archived documents from her personal email, but have yet to disclose what they will release to the government, and what will be kept confidential.

Already, this email privacy issue is being used for political reasons. Former Governor Jeb Bush, a likely 2016 candidate for the Republicans, demanded Clinton release her emails in order to be compliant with federal law.

Even Democrats seem slightly unnerved by this breech in behavior. President Obama's former White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs, called Clinton's behavior, "highly unusual."

Both President Obama, and John Kerry (her successor), have set up and use their government accounts. Clinton, however, created her own "clintonmail.com" address. Experts are unsure how safe her account was, if it was encrypted or may have been infected with malware or hacked by foreign agents.

Miracles come to those who believe. Find the miracle you need here.

Within the U.S. government, all senior officials are required to preserve their emails so that they may be handed over to watchdog organizations, historians or any citizen who requests that information under the freedom of information laws.

An aid did say that Clinton's emails with U.S. officials were saved but did not answer whether correspondence between Clinton and officials from other governments was saved.
