I first became familiar with Kunegunda by visiting at Sunday mass St Kunegunda of Poland Parish in Sugar Camp, Wisconsin about ten years ago while deer hunting near St. Germaine.
What a strange name I never heard of ! A devout parish I loved for many years of deer hunting after.Makes me wonder why it took three hundred years for her to get beatified. Maybe the church needed our beloved Papa, John Paul II.
I attended a Catholic elementary school named after St. Kunegunda.
Two different months are listed for St Kundegunda's Feast day, which is the correct one?
Kunegunda is a beautiful name, i chose it as my conformation name, and nobody had ever heard of it, and even doubted if it was real. My friends even call me Kinga!
